Course Description

Two lawyers from the World Intellectual Property Organization present an in-depth explanation of the Madrid Protocol. Topics covered are the relationship between the Agreement and the Protocol, the safeguard clause, member states of the Madrid Protocol, application procedures, and subsequent designation. Following this is a presentation on the implication of the U.S. accession to the Madrid Protocol and how it will affect U.S. practitioners.
