Course Description
The HIPAA Compliance Course provides HIPAA Training for Health Care Professionals including a comprehensive overview of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) from a healthcare professional's viewpoint. The course focuses specifically on the HIPAA Privacy regulations, which are the major focus of most healthcare providers. HIPAA Compliance also includes an overview of HIPAA regulations. This course was designed to satisfy the mandatory training component of HIPAA Privacy for a healthcare organization's staff.
NOTE: This course is set up for four people, each spending three hours in training.
Upon registering, you are given an initial six months to complete the program. Should you need more time, you may request a 6-month extension at no additional charge.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of the HIPAA course, students will:

| Prerequisites/Audience | The target audience for this course is physicians, physician staffs, nurses, hospital administrators, office managers, receptionists, medical-billing agencies, or any other individuals or organizations involved in healthcare with the need to comply with or learn about HIPAA Privacy. This is a three-hour course and includes four licenses. Four people can take this three hour course for one fee. There are no prerequisites. |
