This highly interactive online training program will teach you everything you need to know in order to become a Professional Blackjack Dealer. You will learn all the fundamentals required, including: shuffling, how to handle cheques, limits and betting and paying procedures. Our Casino Blackjack Dealer program is aimed at teaching students the appropriate methods, techniques, and mannerisms necessary to gain employment within the casino industry’s table games environment. Students will be responsible for viewing online streaming instructional videos, as well as recording and submitting video examinations demonstrating proper game techniques and protocols. Two written examinations (a mid-term and a final) will be given throughout the program. Interactive video emails facilitate student instructor interaction, creating the opportunity for students to have their skill progression visually critiqued by a professional Blackjack dealer instructor. Students will receive their own deck of cards and chips, as well as a fold out Blackjack felt and a web camera to attach to their computer. Upon graduation, the student will have the opportunity to record a streaming video audition to be saved and used in their job search.
Course Objectives
After completing this course, students should:
- Become familiar with the rules and regulations of the game of Blackjack
- Achieve a heightened level of physical and professional dexterity relating to the necessary nuances associated with the physical skills of becoming a casino Blackjack dealer. (i.e. shuffling, dealing hands, managing wagers and choosing winners.)
- Acquire the proper knowledge necessary to achieve a level of professionalism associated with the courtesies and mannerisms required within a casino card room.
- Interact with other students and professors in real time and managed group environments.
- Be able to ask and respond to general and specific questions posed by both professors and fellow students relating to problems and questions encountered within the curriculum.
- Visually demonstrate to an instructor the learned ability of the skills necessary to competently adhere to the requirements and standards set for a professional casino card room dealer.

You should be motivated and personable, and have a strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced, exciting casino environment. Students must be at least 18 years of age and have a GED or High School Diploma. Full use of your eyesight and hands is required. Individuals with felony convictions will be ineligible for casino employment.
